FileLumo: An AI-Powered PDF Toolkit That Solves Real File Problems

FileLumo: An AI-Powered PDF Toolkit That Solves Real File Problems

If you search for PDF tools online, most websites feel almost the same. They all offer merge, split, compress, or convert options, but very few feel like they were built around real user problems.

That is exactly why I built FileLumo.

I did not want to make just another PDF converter site. I wanted to build a tool that feels more practical, more modern, and more useful for the way people actually work with documents today.

What interested me most was not just conversion, but solving everyday file problems in a simpler way.

One of the features I am most excited about is Talk to your PDF. Instead of making people go through a long list of controls, FileLumo lets you upload a PDF and simply type what you want, like keeping specific pages, compressing the file, deleting a page, adding a watermark, or protecting it with a password. That makes the experience feel more natural and much less technical.

I also wanted FileLumo to include tools that feel more relevant than the usual “upload and convert” flow. For example, PDF Privacy Radar helps surface things like email addresses, phone numbers, and money-related details before a file is shared. PDF & Word malware scan helps flag suspicious links or risky patterns often seen in scam-style files. And for documents that are scanned or image-based, Extract Text from PDF and OCR / Searchable PDF help turn them into something people can actually search, copy, and work with.

That problem-solving layer is what I wanted to prioritize first.

Of course, FileLumo also includes the tools people expect in a complete file toolkit:

  • PDF Merge
  • Split PDF
  • Compress PDF
  • PDF to Word
  • Word to PDF
  • JPG to PDF
  • PDF to JPG
  • Rotate PDF
  • Protect PDF
  • Unlock PDF
  • Watermark PDF
  • QR Generator
  • Image Compression

These tools are common categories, but they are still essential. My goal was to bring them together inside a cleaner and more trustworthy product experience instead of making users jump across multiple websites for one workflow.

Another thing that mattered a lot while building FileLumo was trust. File tools often deal with personal, client, or business documents, so privacy and clarity should not feel like an afterthought. I wanted the product to feel straightforward about how it works and focused on practical, everyday usability.

FileLumo is built for students, freelancers, office teams, researchers, and anyone who regularly deals with PDFs and document cleanup. The bigger goal is simple: make file work easier, faster, and less frustrating.

If you want to check it out, the site is here: https://www.filelumo.com

If you try it, I would genuinely love to know which feature feels most useful and what would make the overall workflow even better.
