Hey everyone! đź‘‹
I had an old HY300 projector sitting around at home, and I decided to give it a little makeover using AI tools like Claude or Codex.
The idea is to customize the interface, remove unnecessary apps, improve performance, and maybe explore a few security improvements along the way.
But first, I needed to enable Developer Options.
Normally, on Android devices, you can do this by tapping the build number several times. However, on my HY300 running Android 11, the standard method wasn't working through the default settings interface.
After some digging, I found an alternative way to access the Android settings and enable Developer Options.
Here's how! 🚀
Step 1: From the projector's home screen, go to Settings.
Step 2: In the Settings menu, select Other.
Step 3: Next, select Apps to access the list of installed applications.
Step 4: Find the Settings app
⚠️ Important: You'll notice there are two apps named "Settings". Select the first one.
Step 5: Once you've selected the Settings app, click Open.
Step 6: Navigate to "About"
Inside the Android settings, scroll down and select About.
Step 7: Tap the Build Number 7–10 Times
Scroll down until you find Build Number (or Version Number, depending on your device's language).
Press the OK button on your remote 7 to 10 times.
And, that's it! Bye đź‘‹
