Hello everyone! π
I recently started building FreshQi, my first real software project, with the goal of helping people reduce food waste through technology.
Food waste is a problem many people experience every day. Food can get forgotten in the fridge, expire before being used, or be thrown away even when it could still be consumed. I wanted to create a simple solution that helps people manage their groceries better.
What is FreshQi?
FreshQi is a website designed to help users keep track of their food, understand freshness, and make smarter decisions about their groceries.
The goal is simple: help reduce unnecessary food waste by making it easier to know what food you have and when it needs attention.
Building the Project
Creating FreshQi has been a journey of learning and experimenting.
While building it, I explored:
β’ App design and user experience
β’ Creating useful features
β’ Testing and improving ideas
β’ Using modern development tools
β’ Turning an idea into a working product
Like any project, there were challenges along the way. Each challenge became an opportunity to learn and improve the website.
Why This Project Matters
Food waste affects households around the world. While FreshQi is only one small solution, the idea is to use technology to encourage better habits and reduce waste.
Whatβs Next?
FreshQi is still evolving, and there are many improvements planned for the future.
This is the beginning of the journey, and Iβll continue sharing updates, lessons learned, and the process of building the project.
