For the last stretch, I've been building Fronex in public: a social prediction app that lives entirely inside Telegram and settles on the TON blockchain. Today, it is open to everyone — just days before the biggest summer of football the sport has ever staged.
Here is what it is, why I built it the way I did, and what we shipped today.
The Idea: Prediction is Already Social
Every group chat already argues about what happens next — the next match, the next result, who's right. That instinct is everywhere. What it doesn't have is a home: a place to put your call on the record, see if you were right, and be seen being right.
Most prediction products bury that social instinct under a cold, complex trading dashboard. I wanted the opposite — to meet people where the conversation already happens.
Why Telegram + TON?
Telegram is where the conversation lives — group chats, communities, channels. Building Fronex as a Telegram Mini App means there is no separate website to visit, no signup form, and no password. You open it inside Telegram, and you're in, using your existing Telegram identity.
TON handles the money rails. The thing that makes most crypto products painful is the financial friction — bridges, swaps, and twelve-tab mazes. Fronex keeps it to three simple steps: deposit, predict, withdraw — all in USDT on TON, all inside Telegram. Funding is one tap via TON Connect or Telegram Wallet, and your funds sit in your own on-chain vault rather than with the platform.
Note on Compliance: For day one, I deliberately went crypto-in / crypto-out only — no fiat/card on-ramp. This was a strategic launch decision to avoid dragging a heavy compliance burden into the initial release, giving me the agility to test and iterate immediately.
Building Solo, with AI
There is no massive team behind Fronex. It is one founder and a highly curated stack of AI tools doing the work a team normally would. I even built our marketing tool — fronex.bio — to run the go-to-market strategy because one person physically cannot hand-write every piece of content across eight launch languages.
The honest lesson after shipping: AI doesn't make the hard calls for you. It just lets one person reach further. The product still has to be real, and the community relationships still have to be earned by hand.
How It Works
- Predict: Open a market — soccer, crypto, climate, community — tap an outcome, and make your call. Prices move with the crowd, meaning a price is really the crowd's live estimate of how likely something is.
- Leaderboard: Climb the ranks by being right, and being early.
- Market Owners: Run a football community? You can create your own custom markets for your members and earn 50% of the trading fees they generate. Your community, your markets, your cut. This turns Fronex from a standalone app into a platform other communities can run on top of.
- Bracket Challenge: A tournament-long prediction bracket for the summer ahead, featuring a free entry option.
Tackling the Cold-Start Problem
A brand-new market has no trades yet, meaning there is nothing to price against.
To solve this, new markets open with an automated maker seeding initial liquidity and an indicative price. This gives way to real crowd-driven pricing as soon as people start making calls. Getting that "first-price" experience to feel honest — clearly labeled as an estimate until real activity arrives — took more iteration than almost anything else in the build.
What's Next
The upcoming tournament window is our first real stress test: markets resolving on real results, every single day, for weeks. After that, the focus shifts to onboarding more communities to run their own markets, adding more languages, and expanding the vision where prediction-as-a-social-habit isn't limited strictly to football.
