The most dangerous sentence in any tutorial is "it should look like this"

Every tutorial I've ever followed has a moment where the author shows a screenshot or a photo and says "your project should look like this."

And every single time, mine doesn't.

The code is identical. The wiring matches the diagram. The versions are the same. But something is wrong, and the tutorial has already moved on to the next step, and there is no "what to do if it doesn't look like this" section because the author's setup worked on the first try.

I've spent more time debugging the gap between a tutorial's happy path and my actual reality than I've spent following the tutorials themselves.
