A couple of weeks ago we shared the first insights on Grial Studio, a new way of building .NET Apps. So today we want to talk a little bit more about it.
Let me share some context first. From the very beginning, UXDivers has been committed to solving the challenge of closing the gap between design and development in the .NET space. That was, and still is our motivation! And the reason we created Grial.
What if any .NET developer could access an infinite library of UI resources to plug-n-play in their project painlessly?
Grial UI Kit has always been seen as a great way to kick-off .NET mobile apps, and also as an excellent learning tool for Xamarin.Forms and .NET MAUI.
We are proud to see so many apps built with our Kit. It’s been an awesome journey. But we know there’s more we can do to close the gap between design and code. We wanted to add a productivity booster layer on top of Grial, and here’s where Grial Studio comes in.
Grial Studio lives inside Visual Studio. It brings ever growing Grial content library into our favorite IDE. It’s like a design buddy that assists the entire development process. If you need a page, a template, an icon, anything, find it in Grial Studio and bring it to your project with a few clicks. The goal is simple: never start any UI-related work from scratch again.
Grial Studio also opens the door to integrate content into existing projects (projects that were not created through Grial). Once again, it can help at any stage, even if your project has already started.

Here’s also a sneak peek of what icon management looks like:
Grial Studio theme builder, it's also a key part of Grial Studio. Check it out in this short video:
This is just the start of the story. Let me share part of our roadmap.
Grial Studio will have tools that anybody can use, even if you don’t have a Grial subscription. For instance, the Icons Panel we just talked about. But what are icons without beautiful content? This is where the Free Templates come in. We will be shipping pages that anybody can use, no strings attached. This is a preview of how that will look:
And lastly, more platforms are on the way. Blazor work is already in progress! What are your preferences there? Let us know below 🙂
If you have questions, ideas or just want to say hello, please do! We are always happy to talk and share experiences.
