Django vs React: Which Framework You Should Go For?

In the present era of the application development market, there are a number of frameworks for web development, like- Django, Node.js, Ruby on Rails, Laravel, Meteor, etc. Django is one of the most popular and widely used frameworks for the development of web applications.

Some of the applications like Pinterest, Instagram, and Disqus are developed by the Django framework. Many high-profile websites are also built on the Django framework. There are lots of Django frameworks available in the market. The Django framework has lots of features, which makes it a good choice for developers around the world.

Both react and Django are very famous in today's web development. They are very easy to learn, but they are different in some aspects. You can learn react at first, then you cannot resist learning Django. In this article, we will introduce the basic use of react and Django, and then compare the two by writing an example.

What Is Django?

Django is a free and open-source Python programming Web framework, which is widely used for the development of websites. It was developed by a web designer, with the aim of being one of the fastest and most secure frameworks for online applications. Django is written in Python and uses the Model View Controller (MVC) architecture. It uses the Python language to its best capacity, making it one of the fastest frameworks.

What is React?

The React framework is being used by the majority of web applications because of its ability to make the applications dynamic, fast, and flexible. It is being used by startups and established companies alike. A couple of years ago, Facebook introduced the word "React" to the web developer community. React is an open-source JavaScript library for building user interfaces. React was created by Jordan Walke, a software engineer at Facebook.

Django vs React: Pros and Cons.

Below we have mentioned some of the essential Pros and cons of Django vs React. You should be aware of that.

Which Is Better Framework: Django vs React?
Well, both frameworks are better and also in huge demand. Deciding which one is better is a bit difficult. We will try to break down the difference more so that you can decide which one is better.

The Django community is huge and constantly growing, the React community is much smaller, but growing rapidly. Django is a full-stack framework, React is a library. Django is an all-in-one solution, React is a piece of the puzzle. Django is mature, React is a new kid. It is true that both frameworks are great.

However, you can’t use React everywhere. In particular, React doesn’t work well with server-side rendering. If you need to build a full-stack application, Django is a more appropriate choice. Django has better documentation, React has more community support.

Final Words…
The answer to this question is that it depends on what you are going to build with them. If you are looking for the power of Python, then we recommend that you choose Django. It is robust, scalable, and secure. The Django framework is known for its flexibility and ease of use. Django is best suited for complex data-driven applications. Django has a huge community of programmers who are constantly contributing to the project. The Django framework is highly customizable. It has a huge ecosystem of 3rd party apps.

Django and React are totally different systems - you can use them together if you want, but I think if you're trying to choose between them then you probably don't have a clear idea of what it is you want to build in the first place.
The best thing to do to start with would be to define your goals and then the appropriate framework will be easier to select. For instance, if you're doing a single-page application you might want to choose between React and Vue.
