Creative director Mike Lacher built a web-based parody of Windows Minesweeper styled as a high-budget triple-A release, complete with cinematic cutscenes, Nvidia and Unreal Engine logos, and jokes about upcoming loot boxes and brand integrations.
Mike Lacher shared his creation, which he called a big-budget blockbuster, in a LinkedIn post. The game is available for anyone to try out directly through a website he created.
What does parody look like?
When someone opens the game, they are greeted by the logos of well-known graphics and computer companies. The game then begins with a cinematic scene where a character, Nora, speaks to the player and acts as a guide.
The creator joked about adding boxes with random rewards and collaborations with well-known brands within the first quarter of next year.
