Apple announced new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models featuring Tandem OLED touch screens, M5 Pro and M5 Max processors, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 6.
Preorders are open with sales starting November 6.
The new devices feature Tandem OLED displays, called PROLED XDR Displays. The 14-inch model is 0,59 inches thick and weighs 3 pounds, while the 16-inch version is 0,63 inches thick and weighs 4 pounds. It also brings back the illuminated logo on the back of the lid, which requires its own dedicated lighting solution, and the display has been added with the ability to display notifications and information that change dynamically.
Inside, the new laptops offer a choice of Apple M5 Pro and M5 Max processors. For wireless connectivity, the devices feature Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 support via a new chip called the N1.
Prices start at $2.899 for the smaller model and go up to $3.399 for the 16-inch version. Pre-orders are now open, with regular sales starting Friday, November 6.
