Athens becomes Wonderful's regional hub with the aim of quadrupling staff

AI platform Wonderful has established its regional technical hub in Athens to support operations across Southeast Europe.

The engineering team focuses on deploying the Wonderful AI OS platform for major enterprise clients, including voice assistants and automated workflow orchestration.

At the heart of its technology approach is the Wonderful AI OS platform, designed to coordinate digital assistants, automated workflows and applications across different parts of an enterprise. The platform is not dependent on a specific AI model and integrates with customers’ existing infrastructures, allowing the addition of new capabilities without exclusive commitment to a provider. The implementation model foresees that the company’s engineers work directly with the customer until the first application is put into production, following a process of know-how transfer.

A typical example is the application at Cosmote TV, where a digital assistant took over the service of subscribers by combining older and modern systems. According to the data made public, the system went from design to production within eight weeks, covering ten areas of operation such as identification, technical problem solving and profile management. The percentage of calls served without human intervention reached 50%, while the average handling time was reduced by 30%. Accordingly, in the banking sector, Piraeus Bank put voice digital assistants into production operation in May 2026.

The growth in the Greek market is part of a broader international trajectory for the company, which was founded in 2025 and has raised more than $800 million in funding, reaching a $5 billion valuation in less than two years. Its funding trajectory includes a $100 million Series A round from Index Ventures, a $150 million Series B round led by Insight Partners, and a $550 million Series C round in September 2026, also led by Insight Partners, while it is also supported by other investment organizations such as Bessemer Venture Partners, IVP, Vine Ventures, 9Yards and Salesforce.
