Amazon's Blink has announced five new security camera products, expanding its hardware lineup with its first 4K wired device, a pan-and-tilt model, and long-range options like the Frontier XR+.
The release details hardware specifications, wireless ranges, and new feature integrations such as dual-band Wi-Fi 6 and subscription-based AI video descriptions.
The new models for long distances
The Blink Frontier XR+ is a camera designed for large areas and remote areas. When paired with the dedicated Sync Module XR+ accessory, it can transmit images up to 7.000 feet away, as long as there is a clear line of sight. The system starts at $199,99.
The Blink Outdoor 2K XR+ is in the same category, offering coverage up to 800 feet when there are obstacles or up to 2.700 feet with clear visibility. Its price starts at $149,99.
Options for indoor and outdoor spaces
The Blink Mini 4K+ is the company’s first 4K camera that can be used both indoors and outdoors. It features weather protection, dual-band wireless, and the ability to recognize people and vehicles. It also offers automatic video description features using artificial intelligence, but these require a subscription and are available only in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. It is priced at $79,99.
