Guidewire's $1.7 billion acquisition of Hyperexponential highlights the ongoing consolidation and integration of AI analytics within enterprise insurance platforms.

The deal, which could reach $2 billion with revenue milestones, brings software used by nearly 600 insurers into Guidewire's ecosystem.

The move aims to bring artificial intelligence systems to work with humans, helping with pricing and analytics decisions in the security industry. The total value of the deal could reach $2 billion, with an additional $400 million set if certain revenue targets are met.

Hyperexponential was founded in 2017 in the UK and has raised nearly $90 million in funding to date from investors including Andreessen Horowitz and Battery Ventures. The company says its software is used by nearly 600 insurers in 40 different countries.
