Apple announced the HomeView smart home hub, priced at $299 with a November 13 release date.
Out-of-warranty repairs are set at $279 for any damage type, while AppleCare+ covers repairs for $39.
The unit includes a 30W USB-C power adapter.
This price applies to both the speaker stand and the wall-mounted version. The company charges the same amount for any damage, regardless of the severity of the problem, and has not yet confirmed whether it will repair the units it receives or send new replacement devices.
The official launch of the device is scheduled for November 13. A 30W charger with cable is included in the package, although the company offers a more powerful 40W charger separately priced at $39.
Those who opt for Apple's paid coverage plan pay significantly less for any damage. With this service, repairs cost $39, while the subscription costs $2,49 per month or $24,99 per year, or can be purchased through the company's bundled services for $19,99 per month.
