To take advantage of the new feature, users need an iPhone that supports Apple's AI features and is running the appropriate software version. The process begins by opening the Shortcuts app, tapping the plus sign, and typing a plain-language description. Any automation created with the help of AI can then be manually edited.
How data processing works
The results of the automatic generation may vary, so testing and minor corrections by the user may be required. At the same time, the application can leverage artificial intelligence models within an automation for writing texts and processing data.
Users can choose between models that run on the device, options that work over the web, or choose ChatGPT. For example, an automation can summarize an article from a web address and save it to Notes, or organize photos from the telephoto lens into a separate album. In addition, quick settings can be displayed directly in the sharing menu by activating the corresponding option.
