LG's new UltraGear evo GX9 brings a 39-inch curved fourth-generation panel with 5K2K resolution and a dual-mode refresh rate of 165Hz native or 330Hz at lower resolution, paired with HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 2.1.
Connectivity and audio
On the back of the monitor are HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 2.1 ports, as well as USB Type-A and Type-C ports with 90-watt charging capability. The built-in 7-watt stereo speakers feature technology that separates the acoustic elements, making the sound clearer.
Dual mode for games
The display supports dual mode depending on the user's needs. It can deliver ultra-smooth motion at a lower resolution or deliver the full, maximum resolution at fewer frames per second.
Performance and color coverage
In the image sector, the screen covers 98,3% of the Adobe RGB standard, 151% of sRGB and 99,5% of DCI-P3, offering vibrant colors and high fidelity.
The issue of artificial intelligence
The display has a built-in processor for image enhancement using artificial intelligence. However, this feature requires specific and complex settings on PCs and consoles to activate. According to testing, this feature does not provide a significant benefit to the everyday experience and using the normal, native image is preferred.
