Ubisoft has announced the closure of its RedLynx studio in Finland, impacting 52 roles.
The announcement follows a broader series of restructurings at the company throughout 2026, including significant layoffs at its Singapore studio and voluntary departures in Germany.
This news highlights the ongoing operational changes for the publisher, which has closed several other studios and canceled multiple game projects over the course of the year.
Studio closures and layoffs
The company is closing its RedLynx studio in Finland, a move that affects up to 52 jobs. The studio was acquired by Ubisoft in 2011, and its last game, Gwen's Getaway, was canceled by the company in 2024.
Meanwhile, 70 layoffs are planned at Ubisoft's Singapore studio, representing about 20% of the 350 employees working there.
In Germany, where the company employs over 600 people across three different studios, a staff reduction of around 100 is planned. Ubisoft intends to achieve this reduction through voluntary redundancy.
