How order preparation works
Apple is letting users save their choices in advance. Specifically, buyers can lock in their color preference between Star White and Night Sky, as well as storage and carrier during setup. This will allow for faster purchase completion when pre-orders open at 5 a.m. Pacific Time on Friday.
Prices and availability
Previous reports suggest that the iPhone Duo will initially be available in limited quantities. The base price starts at $1.999 for the 256GB version. There's also the option to lease for $57,99 per month for 24 months through Apple's upgrade program.
The outer layer of the screen
According to reports, Apple has confirmed that the top layer of the main display can be removed without damaging the main folding panel if it becomes damaged. Apple will charge $19 for replacing this layer.
