T-Mobile introduces a 5 Gig fiber internet tier at $90 per month, featuring a 10-year price guarantee tied to auto-pay enrollment.
The rollout expands the carrier's fiber infrastructure options across its active 26-state footprint.
The $90 price is valid provided that the user chooses automatic monthly payment. The plan offers the same speeds for both downloading and uploading data, while the price also includes the wireless networking device at no additional monthly cost.
The announcement did not specify whether the plan is limited to specific locations, although the company's fiber network covers a total of 26 U.S. states. The new price is positioned lower than competing offerings, such as AT&T's 5 Gig packages that start at $110 per month and Ezee Fiber's $99, although there are providers like Optimum with a price tag of $75.
T-Mobile already serves about 1 million customers on its fiber service and estimates it will reach 3 to 4 million subscribers by 2030. In the same category, the company also has smaller packages, with 1 Gig costing $50 and 2 Gig going for $70 per month.
