Valve stops production of the Valve Index and drops its price by 20%

Valve has officially discontinued the Valve Index VR headset, offering a 20% discount on remaining stock to clear out inventory.

The headset is now priced at $399.20, with lighthouse base stations at $120 each.

Existing owners will continue to receive support via Steam and SteamVR.

In response to this development, the company has reduced the price by 20% for all remaining items in stock. This includes controllers and hand straps.

How much does the equipment cost now?

After the discount, the basic device now costs $399,20. The dedicated location sensors cost $120 each, bringing the total cost for a complete kit to around $700.

What does this mean for current owners?

The discontinuation of production does not mean the device will stop working. Valve clarified that current owners will continue to receive regular support through the Steam and SteamVR platforms, along with help with any hardware issues with the device.
