An overview of Google One storage tiers, billing structures, family sharing mechanics, and AI bundle options ranging from basic storage to high-capacity plans.
Payment and space sharing
For plans up to 5 terabytes, you can pay an annual subscription that corresponds to the cost of ten months. Plans of 10 terabytes and above require monthly payments.
If you have more space than you need, you can share it with a family group of up to six people through your account settings. Each person continues to use their own free 15 gigabytes first, then they get the shared space. Files remain private unless you share them individually with someone. The total space in the plan is what you see and is not added to the free gigabytes that everyone already has.
Artificial intelligence and advanced functions
The basic and standard packages offer mainly storage space, while the more expensive packages combine space with artificial intelligence improvements.

These packages offer double the usage, faster models, modules for specialized tools, and deeper support for mail and notes services. Larger packages offer even higher limits, access to advanced models, a larger memory window, deep search tools, and utilities for documents and presentations.
Cashback and additional benefits
Mid-range plans offer cashback in the form of digital credit for purchases from the Google Store, with the percentage increasing for larger plans. Plans of 2 terabytes and above also unlock features like unlimited video calls and improved calendar tools.
The more expensive packages include additional subscriptions for video, smart homes, and health tools, but these are for the owner only and cannot be shared.
