Google is rolling out Personal Intelligence for Gemini on Android Auto, integrating connected Google apps like Gmail, Maps, and Photos into the driving assistant.
The feature requires a personal account, is disabled by default, and remains unavailable in the EEA and UK.
The feature is disabled by default and is intended exclusively for adults over 18 years of age who have a personal Google account. The setup is done through the assistant app or website, by selecting settings and then connected apps.
What information can the assistant obtain?
In Android Auto, the assistant can gather data from services like email, calendar, photos, maps, YouTube, and search.
For example, it can find flight details in emails and check their status to provide answers without the driver having to search manually. It can also take into account dining preferences, scheduled appointments, and locations from previous visits through photos.
