Apple's iOS 27.3 developer beta introduces new capabilities like Safari vertical tabs and Adaptive Dark Mode alongside UI updates.
Meanwhile, the watchOS 27.3 beta adds ambient conversation recording features, highlighting ongoing design considerations around data privacy in wearable software.
New options for charging screen and music
The feature that turns your phone into a digital clock when it's charging is coming to all iPhones that support the new software. The feature gains more options, including new calendar and weather views, more colors, additional elements, and the ability to create multiple screens that the user can switch between with a simple gesture.
Additionally, Apple's Music app gets a new karaoke option that connects to the front camera and displays lyrics on the screen. Meanwhile, the iPhone Duo gets the easy access feature at the top of the screen and a new keyboard for the front screen.
Changes to the browser and other applications
Apple's browser is getting vertical tabs, as well as a feature that automatically adapts to a dark palette even on websites that don't have this option themselves.
