Lessons from Vibe Coding a Hacker Game

I know there’s a lot of back-and-forth about the pros and cons of heavy AI usage amongst corporate employees but there’s no denying the roadblocks it has lifted for hobbyists.

It’s so easy to go from idea to proof of concept with a little AI assistance. Add experience and time and you can have a rapidly developed first version that isn’t terrible.

Various games have tried over the years but they always felt like they fell flat, focusing more on action sequencer between hacker minigames than actual hands on keyboard. Over a couple weeks I tested whether or not AI could help bring my dream to life.
