Contracts, government scheme applications, rental agreements, and legal notices are almost always written in complex legal language and standard official scripts.

For someone with limited literacy or those who speak regional dialects, understanding these documents without paying high legal fees is nearly impossible. This information barrier often leads to unfair contract terms, missed government benefits, or unaddressed workplace grievances.

  1. The Solution To bridge this gap, I am proposing the Multilingual Legal & Document Helper—an intuitive, AI-driven assistant designed to make legal documents accessible to everyone.

Instead of reading pages of fine print, a user can simply upload a photo of a document or record a voice prompt asking a question. The app then translates, breaks down, and explains the core terms in simple language using their local dialect.

Gemini API (Multimodal Capabilities): Uses vision and long-context processing to analyze full legal documents, identify key clauses, extract risks, and summarize them in everyday language.

Google Cloud Translation API: Converts legal summaries into dozens of regional APAC languages and local dialects accurately.

Google Cloud Text-to-Speech: Converts translated summaries into natural spoken audio, allowing users who cannot read to listen to their document breakdowns.
