I keep seeing posts from these non-engineer, would-be Linked-in-fluencers talking about how engineering is over due to AI tools like Claude Code. Coding is wildly technical and architecting is even more complex, which is why it's not an immediate win for AI-generated code (it's pretty inevitable though). Is what you do as complex? Because I think AI will be beating most other, non-engineering professions like Lebron casually tossing a layup long before it ever dunks on engineering. Right now, you can pass an LLM task after task related to product development, project management, legal agreements, sales strategy, marketing strategy, bizdev strategy—just about every single corporate discipline—and it will spit out banger after banger.
