I recently set up a new server in my homelab and was excited to start experimenting with it. However, things quickly took a turn for the worse. I tried to install Docker, but it kept failing with a weird error message.
I spent hours searching online for a solution, but nothing seemed to work. It wasn't until I stumbled upon a forum post that mentioned the importance of updating the package list before installing new software.
I ran the command "sudo apt update" and then tried installing Docker again. To my surprise, it worked like a charm!
The lesson I learned from this experience is that sometimes the simplest solutions are the ones that work best. Don't be afraid to go back to basics and make sure your system is up to date before trying to troubleshoot complex issues.
What's the most frustrating issue you've encountered in your homelab, and how did you fix it?
