Building the IMDb of travel with TypeScript

Hallo!

I building a new travel platform called Humbo together with two of my friends.

We hope that it will be for travel what IMDb is for movies. The obvious reference website where you see trustworthy ratings.

Main features
So far, most people join Humbo to use one of these two features:

• Travel bucket list
  “Keep track of where you want to go with a travel bucket list”

• Visited
  “Share where you have been with your own interactive world map”

Place data
Our place data is based on a mix of open sources, our custom AI pipeline, and user-generated content.

Currently, we have about 300,000 places, 300,000 photos, and 150,000 user ratings. We are improving and adding new places every day.

So far we have focused on places to visit and attractions

• Places = cities, islands, national parks etc.
• Attractions = landmarks, museums, cathedrals, amusement parks etc.
• Collections of places = Country pages, Top 100 places, Top 100 countries, Articles etc.
