Starting My Cloud & DevOps Journey with Azure (AZ-104)

Starting My Cloud & DevOps Journey with Azure (AZ-104)
Introduction

Starting a career in Cloud and DevOps can be confusing, especially for beginners.
There are thousands of tutorials, courses, and blog posts, but very few show a clear and practical path from zero.

This post is about why I started my Cloud & DevOps journey with Azure, how I’m learning through AZ-104, and why I decided to document everything publicly.

Why I Decided to Learn Cloud & DevOps

Like many beginners, I was interested in Cloud and DevOps but struggled with questions like:

Where should I start?

What should I learn first?

How much theory vs hands-on is enough?

Jumping randomly between topics only increased confusion. I needed a structured path and real practice.

Why I Started a YouTube Channel

To solve this problem, I decided to learn in public.

I started a YouTube channel where I document my learning journey in Bangla, mainly because:

Many beginner resources lack proper structure

Hands-on practice is often missing

Bangla content for Cloud & DevOps is still limited

Teaching what I learn helps me understand concepts better and keeps me consistent.

Why Azure and AZ-104?

I chose Microsoft Azure because it is widely used in real-world production environments.

Instead of following random tutorials, I picked AZ-104 (Azure Administrator) as my learning roadmap because it covers:

Core cloud concepts

Compute, storage, and networking

Identity, monitoring, and real-world Azure usage

This gives a strong foundation for anyone aiming to become a Cloud Engineer.

What I’ve Done So Far

So far, I have uploaded 6 videos focusing on Azure fundamentals.

Each video includes:

Clear concept explanations

Practical demos using the Azure Portal

Beginner-friendly breakdowns

My goal is not just certification, but real understanding and practical skills.

What’s Next: Moving Towards DevOps

Once the cloud foundation is strong, the natural next step is DevOps.

In the upcoming phase, I plan to explore:

DevOps fundamentals

CI/CD concepts

Cloud-based DevOps workflows

Real-world problem-solving mindset

I want to connect DevOps with cloud engineering instead of treating them as separate skills.

Who This Journey Is For

This journey is for:

Beginners starting with cloud computing

Students exploring tech careers

AZ-104 aspirants

Anyone feeling lost while learning Cloud or DevOps

If you are starting from zero, you are not late. You just need the right direction.

Why Learning in Public Works

Learning in public helps by:

Improving consistency

Reinforcing understanding

Creating a feedback loop

Helping others learn alongside you

Even if progress feels slow, progress in public is still progress.

I’m still learning, experimenting, and improving every day.

By documenting my journey, I hope to help others avoid the confusion I faced and encourage beginners to take the first step.

If this sounds helpful, feel free to follow along and learn together.
