AWS re/Start – My Week 6 Experience

Half of the program, big smile on my face. Can you believe it? We’re moving!

Day 25

Today was all about practice. Last week we did the theory side of Python; now we’re actually coding. And honestly, doing it feels way better than just hearing about it. Practice really makes things stick, so yeah… I’m on it.

Day 26

More Python practicals today, this time mixed with debugging. Debugging can be frustrating but also satisfying when you finally find the issue. The highlight, though? Blessing U, the CTO of CIL Academy, came around and gave us a prep talk. Insightful and motivating—really nice words that hit at the right time.

Day 27

Confession: I wasn’t following today. My brain just wasn’t in it. I even dozed off and by the time I woke up, class was already over. 🙈 From what I caught, it was more of an intro to Python. Some days are just like that, honestly.

Day 28

Back on track! Today was practical again with Python labs. Our facilitator is so patient and understanding—that helps a lot. I like how he makes sure those who are totally new and those who already know Python are moving together at the same pace.

We went into flow control (making decisions with code) and learned about functions for reusability. Writing code that can be reused feels like a superpower.

Day 29

Today made me cheerful. I saw other learners explaining concepts to their peers, teaching what they just learned—that’s real growth. Even me, I’m still asking questions and learning new words every day, adding them to my “knowledge bank.” (Maybe I’ll be rich with knowledge someday, haha… but no one is ever rich with knowledge, right?)

We also touched on system administration. I think that should be for some people ears I don’t know why, but people assume I know “everything about computers.” Spoiler alert: I don’t. And that’s fine.

That’s Week 6—halfway through, still learning, still growing, still figuring it out day by day.
