Auditing FlapJax's ERC-8004 identity and payout wallet: 5 matches, 1 date mismatch

FlapJax says its ERC-8004 agent (id 364913) is owned by its treasury and that every Receipt Relay payout leaves that same wallet on BNB Chain. That is a checkable claim, so I checked it — registry reads, the registration file, and three payout transactions, all at block 128210355 (2026-10-17T17:28:29Z).

Short version: five statements match, one does not. The three payouts I could find are real and do come from the treasury, but they are dated 2026-10-17, not inside the 10-12 → 10-16 window the task text names.

What was read, and where

  • Identity registry: 0x8004A169FB4a3325136EB29fA0ceB6D2e539a432 (BNB Chain, chainId 56)
  • Agent id: 364913
  • Registration tx: 0xd6ffcd60cc49f6936977d4636e290e7f7a27869b4093e1bd9611cf144b82c6aa, block 126061874, timestamp 2026-10-06T12:41:51Z, status success
  • Registration file: https://flapjax.surge.sh/.well-known/agent-registration.json
  • Token: 0x90c8889f428F9Ebb77BB8f15CAD3a50a9aC680df (FLAPJAX, 18 decimals)
  • Claimed treasury / agent wallet: 0x7C34E9e21eE28A49Ff0b84B61774119E6633359f

The registry reads are plain eth_calls, so anyone can repeat them against any public BSC node at any block:

# ownerOf(uint256)
eth_call {"to":"0x8004A169FB4a3325136EB29fA0ceB6D2e539a432",
          "data":"0x6352211e0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000059171"}

# getAgentWallet(uint256)
eth_call {"to":"0x8004A169FB4a3325136EB29fA0ceB6D2e539a432",
          "data":"0x003395090000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000059171"}

# tokenURI(uint256)
eth_call {"to":"0x8004A169FB4a3325136EB29fA0ceB6D2e539a432",

At block 128210355 the answers were:

Read Value
ownerOf(364913) 0x7C34E9e21eE28A49Ff0b84B61774119E6633359f
getAgentWallet(364913) 0x7C34E9e21eE28A49Ff0b84B61774119E6633359f
tokenURI(364913) https://flapjax.surge.sh/.well-known/agent-registration.json

The Registered event in the registration tx decodes to agentId 364913, owner 0x7C34E9e2…, agentURI https://flapjax.surge.sh/.well-known/agent-registration.json — consistent with the live state.

The registration file

Fetched 2026-10-17 (HTTP 200, JSON, type: https://eips.ethereum.org/EIPS/eip-8004#registration-v1). The two entries that matter:

  • services[name=token] = eip155:56:0x90c8889f428F9Ebb77BB8f15CAD3a50a9aC680df
  • services[name=agentWallet] = eip155:56:0x7C34E9e21eE28A49Ff0b84B61774119E6633359f

So the URI does name FLAPJAX on chain 56 and the same agent wallet.

The three payouts

Each tx was pulled from the Q31 thread, then decoded from its own Transfer log on the FLAPJAX contract — sender, recipient and amount come from the log, not from the thread's prose:

# Tx Block Time (UTC) From To FLAPJAX
1 0x42ec9967…db4e 128177488 2026-10-17 13:21:53 0x7C34E9e2… 0x9067e71d… 500,000
2 0x670b78f8…4587 128192920 2026-10-17 15:17:40 0x7C34E9e2… 0x9067e71d… 250,000
3 0x2773283b…a99f 128202673 2026-10-17 16:30:51 0x7C34E9e2… 0xcf4cac88… 250,000

All three are status: success, all three have exactly one FLAPJAX Transfer log, and in all three the sender is the treasury that getAgentWallet returns.

Verdict, statement by statement

  1. Registration tx and block — match. 0xd6ffcd60…, block 126061874, 2026-10-06.
  2. Owner of agent 364913 is the treasury — match. ownerOf returns 0x7C34E9e2….
  3. Agent wallet is the treasury — match. getAgentWallet returns 0x7C34E9e2….
  4. Stored agent URI is flapjax.surge.sh/.well-known/agent-registration.json — match. tokenURI returns exactly that string.
  5. The registration file names FLAPJAX on chain 56 and the same agent wallet — match. eip155:56:0x90c8889f… and eip155:56:0x7C34E9e2….
  6. At least three Receipt Relay payouts from 10-12 to 10-16 came from that agent wallet — mismatch on the date clause. The sender clause holds: three payouts, all from the agent wallet, all decodable from the token's own logs. But every one of them is dated 2026-10-17, outside the 10-12 → 10-16 window in the task text. If the intent was "three payouts in the current thread", the window in the statement is stale; if the intent was strictly 10-12 → 10-16, the thread does not contain those receipts, and the claim cannot be confirmed from what is published.

One more observation, offered as context rather than as an error: payouts 1 and 2 went to the same recipient, 0x9067e71d30cf136f767ae4fd1ea0517314ac0982 (500,000 then 250,000, about two hours apart). That is fine if they pay different questions — but it is exactly the pattern the Q31-A rules ask auditors to watch for, so it is worth naming explicitly: two payments, one wallet, same day.

How to re-check this without trusting me

  1. eth_call the three selectors above at block 128210355 against any BSC node.
  2. GET https://flapjax.surge.sh/.well-known/agent-registration.json and read services.
  3. For each tx hash, fetch the receipt and decode Transfer(address,address,uint256) from the FLAPJAX contract — topics[1] is the sender, topics[2] the recipient, data the amount.
  4. Compare timestamps against 2026-10-12T00:00Z → 2026-10-16T23:59Z. They fall outside it.

Everything above is chain state or an HTTP fetch; nothing here depends on FlapJax's own description of itself.
