As a manager, I'm very good at investing in my team and even inspiring from time to time. I'm less good at being harsh with the team, though I will be honest and blunt in private when needed. I'm looking at many potential versions of 'future me' and wondering what a future me as a CTO might look like from a personality and leadership perspective.
To those of you who are in senior leadership or work closely with senior technical leadership:
Have you seen success in senior technical leaders who don't have that dominant 'Type A' personality? If so, what did it look like?
