White Label Capability Framework: Brand Domain

You are a buyer evaluating a white label platform in your software category of interest. That category could be anything from EV charging apps to client portals to digital signage software. Your first question is straightforward such as can I apply my logo, my domain, my colours and my general look and feel.

A provider will entail the full range of branding configurations available. This can span from favicon setup to branded transactional emails and a UI that reflects your brand specifications.

The Brand domain answers the what. How it gets applied depends entirely on who you are and how you operate.

Buyer Type What They Need from Brand
Solution Integrator White-label SDK with documentation on how to embed the solution into their own product and stack
Agency Individual client branding per sub account level and agency branding at the agency’s admin account level
No-code Entrepreneur Branding configured through a self service UI to setup key items such a custom domain and branded transactional emails

How Brand capability maps to three white label buyer types

Not all white label platforms can meet every requirement here. Some do not support sub-accounts. Some have no SDK access. Some support both. Also many platforms market themselves as white label but only provide partial capabilities, like a custom domain or white label PDF reports, while the rest of the platform carries the provider’s branding.
