I Built a Free Wedding Program Generator (Because Canva Charges $13/mo for PDF Export)

Last year I was helping my best friend plan her wedding. She found the most beautiful program template on Canva — elegant, simple, perfect. But when she tried to download it as a PDF to print, Canva hit her with a paywall: "Upgrade to Pro to export as PDF." That's $12.99 a month for a tool she'd use maybe twice.

I thought: there's got to be a better way.

The Problem

Services like Canva follow the same playbook:

1. Let you browse beautiful templates for free (engaging, addictive)
2. Let you customize everything (investment of time)
3. Put a paywall on PDF export (frustration)
4. Demand $12.99/month to remove it (rage quit)

It's a subscription trap disguised as a design tool. And it preys on people who just need to make one thing — a wedding program — and are willing to pay a month's subscription for it.
