Anthropic talks about AI safety. But recent negative customer reviews raise a question that goes beyond product quality:
Thanks for support..
Release: "Sentinel-IR-MCP v0.2.2 on GitLab" (https://gitlab.com/jakubrojicek11/sentinel-ir-mcp/-/tree/v0.2.2?ref_type=tags)
Package: "sentinel-ir-mcp@0.2.2 on npm" (https://www.npmjs.com/package/sentinel-ir-mcp/v/0.2.2)
If a company wants us to trust it with increasingly powerful AI, how does it handle the people who already depend on its products?
Negative reviews are not proof that a company's safety principles are false. But neither should safety promises exempt a company from difficult questions about accountability, communication, and how it resolves disputes.
And this is where I think the real problem begins.
AI safety is not just about preventing a model from producing dangerous output. Trust also depends on what happens when something goes wrong. Can users get a meaningful explanation? Can disagreements be resolved fairly? Is there a clear path to challenge a decision?
A company can build sophisticated safeguards into its models and still struggle with the human systems surrounding them.
That does not automatically make its technology unsafe. It does mean that technical safety and institutional trust are two different problems.
This is part of why I work on Sentinel-IR-MCP and Agentix Lite. I want AI infrastructure where behavior can be inspected, boundaries are explicit, and claims can be tested rather than accepted on faith.
I don't believe we should trust AI companies simply because they promise to build trustworthy AI.
We should examine how they behave when trust is tested.
And perhaps the most important question is not whether AI will learn to handle human conflicts, but whether the organizations building it are willing to demonstrate the same discipline themselves.
What do you think? Can we meaningfully evaluate AI safety without evaluating the accountability of the companies behind it?
