Hey Dev Community!
I’m excited to share a new update with you — let’s dive into OLSRT!
Can I use OLSRT in my project?
Not right now. Why? Because OLSRT is not yet complete, and the OverLab Group has decided to rebuild it from the ground up.
Right now, OLSRT is weaker than libuv — a library that should already be history. That’s not acceptable!
What’s next?
We’re changing the programming language, libraries, and dependencies. Everything will be written by us, without relying on third‑party libraries.
We plan to use C, C++, Rust, Elixir, Golang, ASM, and more — not just C. By supporting multiple languages, OLSRT will empower developers to choose the best tool for each task.
Our vision
We want to completely change the philosophy of OLSRT. It won’t be just about Streams anymore. OLSRT will become a Universal Runtime for everything — like Node.js for JavaScript, but for multiple languages.
This transformation will redefine how runtimes are built, giving developers unmatched flexibility, speed, and performance across ecosystems.
Join us
Join us on this journey — together we’ll shape the future of runtimes. Your feedback and ideas will be the driving force behind OLSRT’s evolution.
