Looking for Android Beta Testers — 16 Free Casual Games Built with Web Techgamedev

I'm working on a bunch of casual mobile games under the name JellyBolt Games and I've hit a wall that probably sounds familiar to other indie devs here.

Google Play requires you to have at least 12 testers who've been opted in for 14 continuous days before they'll let you publish to production. But getting testers without a production listing is... well, you see the problem.

What I Built

16 lightweight casual games — puzzle, arcade, card, runner stuff. They're all built with web technologies (HTML5/JS/CSS) and wrapped for Android using Capacitor. No sketchy permissions, no data harvesting, completely free.

Here's the short list:

  • Archery Quest — aim and shoot targets
  • Asteroid Dash — dodge space debris
  • Battle Arena — tactical combat
  • Block Storm — falling blocks puzzle
  • Bolt Blocks — tile matching
  • Bolt Breaker — brick breaker
  • Bolt Solitaire — classic card game
  • Bolt Tiles — memory matching
  • Bounce Blitz — bouncing ball platformer
  • Bubble Pop — bubble shooter
  • Card Clash — card strategy
  • Color Match — color puzzle
  • Crystal Caves — exploration platformer
  • Cube Runner — endless runner
  • Neon Dash — fast-paced runner
  • JellyBolt Collection — 25-in-1 bundle

How to Help

If you've got an Android phone and a couple minutes, just tap any of these links to opt in as a closed beta tester:

You can also join the JellyBolt Testers Google Group for updates.

Why Web Tech for Games?

I went with HTML5/JS because the turnaround is crazy fast compared to Unity or native. Capacitor handles the Android wrapping and it works surprisingly well for casual 2D games. If anyone's curious about the tech stack I'm happy to write a followup post about it.

Feedback Welcome

Found a bug? Think the UI is ugly? Want to tell me the games are bad? All good — drop a comment here or email me at tdsquadai@gmail.com. Honest feedback helps me make these better.

Thanks for reading. The indie grind is real but every tester who signs up makes a huge difference.
