5 Side Hustle Tips Tips That Work

Side Hustle Tips

No fluff. Here's what works:

1. Start with one skill you already have and sell it as a service.

2. Automate or template every repeatable task to free up your time.

3. Find a trending problem on Reddit and build a simple solution for it.

4. Price your first product at $5 to get quick sales and reviews.

5. Repurpose one piece of content (like a thread) across 5 different platforms.

Solid list. The "find a trending Reddit problem and build a simple solution" tip is underrated because it solves distribution at the same time — the audience who has the problem is already in one place, and if you build it publicly in that community, the early adopters find you rather than the other way around.

One addition worth considering: combine tips 1 and 3 together by looking specifically for Reddit problems that map to your existing skill set. The overlap between "a problem I can solve well" and "a problem someone is actively complaining about right now" is where the lowest-friction side projects live. The mistake most people make is starting from the skill OR the market — the sweet spot is the intersection.
