This might come to real devs as an insult or a hit in the nuts for a reason or another, but the world of development has been changing quite a bit and as someone who always had a bunch of ideas for apps, websites and just ideas in general, I’ve been happy using vibe coding tools to help me understand this world and actually learn so so much about development and honestly, technology as a whole.
I was never fond of the technicalities and always thought the world of developers was too advanced for me to access it, until chatGPT and Lovable. And I’m not trying to make lovable or gpt a hero in my story here, I’m trying to explain how they kind of unlocked my creator seed and allowed me to bloom internally in regards to developing systems.
When I have ideas, it’s mostly because I want to make something better, it comes from something. AI allows me to have great amounts of context that I would otherwise get bored searching for manually. It infers patterns, highlights some flaws that I might have and makes my journey easier to navigate because my idea flow is much greater than my human capacity to act on it.
So, I built 2 apps, one is a social media like app for ideas to be able to travel in what I judge to be the right way, and I may or may not be wrong about it, but at least it’s morally right and makes people actually think rather than simply dump content irrationally for people to doom scroll and get a fog built up in their heads.
The other platform is simpler in a way, but more scientifically attuned. It’s a platform about learning that lets people ask whatever question they want to ask, and trains them on the researched by AI information. The cool thing, the differentiator about it I guess, is the learning loop and structure within the features of said loop.
And I would never have been able to do all of that without the help of AI in the end. So I guess it can be freeing in a way, but for the devs who worked their asses off getting the foundational work done, you people are actually the real legends in that. I’m just a legend to be - and that’s all thanks to you.
