What Went Wrong? Silicon Valley Hailed Elon Musk as new Einstein before he Heiled Hitler twice

As we all know, after Elon Musk successfully bought himself an election, he was so happy to have grabbed political power that he did two "Heil Hitler" on his big day at the White House... and then went campaigning for the AFD, the modern german fascist party.

That's the same Elon Musk that Silicon Valley massively hailed for so long as genius with a huge brain that would bring humanity to go die on Mars in 2022, an Einstein of our times.

One thing everyone should know about Albert Einstein is that he was not campaigning for the german fascist party of his times.

On the other hand, Elon Musk sure looks like the Henry Ford of our times. Billionaires in general were happy in the 30s to have the fascist parties crush the left-leaning parties and powerful unions. That part worked well, at least in the short-term.

A fellow ultra-famous ultra-wealthy car-making billionaire, Henry Ford in particular was such a huge antisemite that he was praised in Mein Kampf, a rare award of infamy for a citizen of the US, who was then the biggest anti-fascist country.

The more we know about Elon Musk, the less he looks like a genius, and the more we see clearly how he behaves like a 12-years-old sleep-deprived social-network-addicted ketamine-addicted video-games-cheating women-hostile LGBT-hostile terrible-at-parenting apartheid-loving racist fascist power-hungry serial-bullshiter.

The obvious question for who work in the tech sector:

What went wrong ?

Why was our bullshit detector so hopelessly broken for so long ?

How do we make sure it doesn't happen again ?

As someone who used to defend him (I never claimed he was a genius, but he did get a whole lot of things done), I don't think it could have gone differently.

I mean sure he turned out to be a jerk, but with the information we had at the time we had no way of knowing he was more of a jerk than other big tech CEOS. I think the only thing we can do is be open to change our opinion regarding a person. Also he can have terrible, terrible personal opinions and be good at making successful businesses, what he's doing now doesn't change the fact that Tesla and SpaceX were very successful before their image got ruined because of their association with him.

Counter-arguments :

  • Henry Ford was a much more impressive figure than Elon Musk, especially if you filter out the hype, that doesn't make him less a huge antisemitic fascist-enabler and he should be as infamous for that as he is famous as a car maker
  • People don't go from 0 to Heil Hitler in one day, so I'm pretty sure that there were many hints that our blind spots have missed during all those years, and those blind spots will stay if what we choose to do is nothing

Neither Adolf nor Ford. Mr. Musk has a much closer predecessor - John Ernst Worrell Keely (1837-1898).

Ok but which specific part is crazy, backed by what kind of proof ?
I guess we will never know, truth has a huge leftist bias.
