I've been down the rabbit hole of building developer tooling for almost two years now. It all started with me playing with ollama. Fast forward to today: as of tonight I'm launching Contenox IDE.
And as of today I'm letting you use Gemini 4 for free.
Gemini has a bad reputation. I get the mood. Yet I'd like to challenge it: Gemini on Contenox rails, even the Flash models, has personally outperformed top tier agents and harnesses for me almost every time. Now it's Gemini 4 Argon, and I want you to find out whether that holds for you.
What Contenox is
An IDE where the agent is the core, not a sidebar. The agent gets the tools you allow it. A policy says what runs on its own, what stops and asks you, and what is denied. Every step lands in a record you can read afterwards. That's the rails. Gemini does the thinking, Contenox decides what it may touch. There are tons of other features and I'll followup on them soon but for now I'd like to see it used :)
How to try it
- Install from contenox.com.
- Click "Sign in to Contenox" on the welcome page and create a free account.
- Start a chat. It's Gemini 4 Argon by default.
Then pick the task you've been avoiding and throw it at it.
What I want from you
Tell me where it shines and where it falls over. I read everything.
I'm Alexander, and I hope to hear from you.
Thanks
