π€ The Problem
I was studying for certifications and had two recurring frustrations:
- π± Phone distractions: Every focus app I tried was easy to bypass. Force-quit, PiP mode, or just dismiss the notification.
- π§ Forgetting everything: Iβd study for hours, then forget the material a week later. Manual review scheduling never stuck.
β¨ What I Built
Iterio β an Android app that combines aggressive focus enforcement with automatic spaced repetition.
π Focus Lock (3 levels)
- App Restriction: Block selected apps during sessions
- Normal Lock: Prevent phone unlocking entirely
- Complete Lock: Full lockdown including PiP blocking. Your phone becomes a timer and nothing else.
π§ Automatic Spaced Repetition
Based on the Ebbinghaus forgetting curve. When you finish studying a topic, Iterio auto-generates review tasks at optimal intervals:
- Day 1 β Day 3 β Day 7 β Day 14 β Day 30
No manual scheduling. The app tells you what to review and when.
