This is the pre-launch homework nobody does until it's painful. The Stripe stuff founders underestimate: it's not the checkout (that's an afternoon), it's the lifecycle, proration on plan changes, dunning on failed payments, webhook reliability, tax, and refunds. Planning for those before launch saves you from rebuilding billing under pressure with live customers watching. The single highest-leverage decision is reconciling against Stripe as source of truth instead of trusting webhooks alone. This boring-but-critical billing wiring is exactly what I automate in Moonshift so a generated SaaS launches actually sellable. Which item do you see founders skip most pre-launch, dunning or tax?
