Who Am I?
I'm a software engineer based in Japan, currently working at McAfee, where I develop malware scanners for Android using Java, C, and C++.
My career has taken me through embedded systems, Windows desktop apps, cloud PoCs, application security tooling, and now mobile security — and I genuinely enjoy navigating across those layers.
My Background
I started my career at Yokogawa Test & Measurement, building embedded GUI software for oscilloscopes in C++. From there, I moved into Windows desktop development (C#, WPF, XAML) and eventually led a small DX team doing cloud PoC work on Azure with Python and ASP.NET MVC.
After that, I spent a few years at Black Duck Software (formerly Synopsys) as a Customer Delivery Engineer, supporting AppSec tool deployments — SAST with Coverity, and fuzz testing with Defensics across automotive protocols (CAN-bus, CAN-FD) and wireless stacks (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 5G).
Now at McAfee, I'm back to hands-on development — working on performance-critical native components for mobile security products.

What I Write About
On Dev.to, I plan to share:
- Mobile & embedded security — real lessons from working on Android malware detection and automotive fuzz testing
- AppSec practices — SAST, fuzzing, and integrating security into CI/CD pipelines
- Career insights — navigating a tech career across embedded, enterprise, and security domains
- Learning in public — my journey studying for CISSP and improving my English for global opportunities
Goals & What Drives Me
I'm genuinely passionate about building software that's both reliable and secure. I believe security and development are stronger together — and I want to keep growing at that intersection.
I'm also working toward working more globally. I'm actively improving my English and hope to collaborate with engineers around the world through writing here.
