Developer by day, musician by night — here’s my productivity workflow

By day, I’m a software engineer. By night, I’m rehearsing with my band, editing videos, writing blogs, or hitting the gym. It sounds overwhelming, but this is the lifestyle I’ve chosen.

I quickly realized you can’t do everything. I cut back on some social activities and sports so I could dedicate more energy to creation. The result was a personal productivity system that keeps me consistent, balanced, and even helped one of my Instagram clips reach nearly a million views.

⚡️ My 5-Step Workflow

1️⃣ Capture inspiration instantly
Whether it’s a melody, a video title, or a code snippet — I write it down in Apple Notes immediately. Rule: inspiration never gets wasted.

2️⃣ Organize with Notion
Later, I import those notes into Notion, where I categorize, prioritize, and assign them to projects. After trying many productivity tools, Notion remains my top choice.

3️⃣ Creation tools: Obsidian, Logic Pro, iMovie
— Technical writing → Obsidian for linked notes and lightweight editing
— Music → Logic Pro for recording, iMovie for editing and syncing
This is the bridge between idea and finished work.

4️⃣ Schedule with Notion Calendar
Consistency matters. Regular publishing is what platforms reward.

5️⃣ Cross-platform distribution
With GPT helping me generate titles and tags, I can focus on creating.
— Videos → YouTube, TikTok, Instagram
— Writing → Blog platfroms

📈 Results
This system gives me stable output. My content often passes 1k views and 100+ likes, with two posts nearly hitting 1M plays.

❤️ Why I stick to it
Because I love music. I never lack motivation — only time. Meanwhile, I’d like to build a community where we can inspire and help each other.

If this resonates, give it a like, save, or follow 🙌
