We're the team behind KGA IT — a small IT company based in Kosai, Shizuoka. We started in March 2026 because too many small and mid-sized businesses around us were stuck with broken Wi‑Fi, half-finished websites, and Microsoft 365 tenants nobody had configured properly.
This post is a short introduction to what we do, who we help, and how to get in touch. No invented metrics, no awards — just the facts about a practical IT partner for SMEs in Japan.
The gap we kept walking into
Talk to enough shop owners, factory supervisors, and clinic managers in Shizuoka and you hear the same patterns:
- The company site was built years ago, loads slowly on phones, and nobody knows who has the hosting password.
- Email runs on a mix of free accounts and a half-migrated Microsoft 365 tenant with shared admin credentials.
- Backups exist "on a USB drive somewhere" or not at all.
- LINE Official Account was created for a campaign and then abandoned.
- When something breaks at 8 a.m., there is no one local to call who speaks the language of the floor team.
Large system integrators are excellent for large projects. They are rarely the right fit for a 10-person company that needs MFA turned on, a clean website, and a support number that actually rings. That middle ground is where we decided to work.
Who we help
- Japanese SMEs that need a website, email, and day-to-day IT support without a full-time IT department
- Brazilian- and foreign-owned companies in Japan that prefer Portuguese, English, or other languages alongside Japanese
- Factories, contractors, staffing agencies, clinics, and shops that need practical setups, not slide decks
We work in nine languages on the site and in support conversations when it helps the client move faster. Language should not be the reason a backup never gets tested.
What we actually deliver
| Area | Examples |
|---|---|
| Websites | Corporate sites from ¥49,800〜, multilingual pages, maintenance |
| Productivity | Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace setup, migration, training |
| IT support | Business plan from ¥49,800/month (weekday 9–18 JST; 24h emergency on Business) |
| Security & backup | Diagnosis from ¥15,000〜, backup from ¥8,000〜 |
| Automation / AI | Workflow and chatbot projects from ¥49,800〜 |
| LINE Official | Help setting up and integrating LINE for customer contact |
| Digital consulting | From ¥30,000〜; free consultation available first |
Web plans start from ¥5,000/month. App configuration help starts from ¥3,000〜. System management starts from ¥10,000〜/month. All listed prices include tax and are "from" amounts — scope changes the quote.
Why "practical" matters
A lot of IT sales still assume a large budget and a six-month project. Most SMEs need something else:
- A site that loads and ranks — not a brochure nobody can update
- Email and files that work — M365 or Google Workspace configured with MFA, backups, and clear ownership
- Someone who answers the phone — weekday 9–18 JST, and emergency cover on the Business plan
- Security basics — password hygiene, backup (3-2-1), phishing awareness, without a 200-page audit nobody reads
That is the bar we set for ourselves in Kosai. We would rather finish a boring, correct Microsoft 365 rollout than sell a flashy dashboard that nobody opens.
A typical first month (illustrative, not a case study)
Every engagement is different, but a common path looks like this:
- Free consultation — what hurts today (email, site, printers, LINE, ransomware fear)?
- Short written plan — what to fix first, what can wait, rough "from" pricing.
- Foundation work — MFA, admin accounts, DNS/email health, backup target.
- Visible wins — site updates or a cleaner Workspace/M365 experience for staff.
- Optional retainer — Business support if you want a recurring partner instead of one-off tickets.
We do not claim to be a registered subsidy application firm. If a Japanese subsidy or tax incentive might help fund IT investment, we can point you at official sources and focus on the technical side of the project.
Multilingual by design
Japan's SME landscape includes many owners and managers who think in Portuguese, Vietnamese, Filipino, English, Chinese, Korean, Malay, or Spanish. Our public site and contact flow are built for that. If you need Japanese for official paperwork and Portuguese for the shop floor, we can work in both.
Free consultation
If you want a second opinion on your website, Office suite, backup, or support model, you can book a free consultation. We will tell you honestly whether you need us or a simpler DIY fix.
