We Raised $0 to Disrupt the $15M "AI-Powered PDF" Startup Clown Show with Pure In-Browser WASM

Let's talk about the absolute intellectual bankruptcy of the modern venture-backed startup ecosystem.

Over the last two years, hundreds of millions of dollars in VC funding flowed into companies whose entire technological architecture consists of:
User Document ──> AWS S3 ──> LangChain / OpenAI API ──> $30/month Subscription Paywall

They call it "Next-Gen Enterprise Document Intelligence."

In reality, it's a glorified wrapper that adds 4 seconds of network latency, introduces catastrophic data privacy compliance liabilities (GDPR/HIPAA breaches), and charges users $360 a year for tasks their own laptops could compute in 30 milliseconds.

When a user needs to merge two invoices, compress a scan for an email, or e-sign an NDA, they don’t want an AI chatbot asking them questions. They just want the tool to work instantly and securely.

So I raised $0, bypassed the cloud entirely, and built HandleMyFile.

The Architecture: Why Client-Side WASM Humiliates VC Cloud Startups

Modern consumer hardware features 8GB to 32GB of unified high-speed RAM and multi-core processors. Routing raw byte streams across cloud instances to perform vector slicing or image quantization is an architectural relic of 2012.

Instead of burning VC money on EC2 clusters running headless LibreOffice, we compiled native C++ and Rust manipulation libraries into client-side WebAssembly (WASM).
