Technical Project Coordinator at AWTOMATIG. I build AI automations, full-stack web products and the servers they run on, in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

I'm Khalid Hasan Anik, a Technical Project Coordinator at AWTOMATIG, an AI automation and BPO agency in Dhaka, Bangladesh. My job title says coordinator. Most days I'm also the developer, the DevOps engineer and the person building the AI agents. This post explains what I do, how I got here, and where to find me online.

My portfolio is at khalidhasananik.com.

How I got here

I studied Computer Science and Engineering at North South University (2021–2025). In July 2025 I joined AWTOMATIG as an intern. That first role taught me something I still believe: if a task is done by hand every day, it should probably be automated. I spent those months building AI agents and automations to replace repetitive work across the company.

By November 2025 I was the company's AI Ops & Automation Engineer. I built AI agents, automations and RAG (retrieval-augmented generation) systems for clients. I also connected their tools: Google Sheets, Monday.com, Notion, Cal.com and Calendly. And I built custom web interfaces on top of a long list of third-party APIs.

In February 2026 our project manager left. I had already been doing much of that work, so I took over the role formally as Technical Project Coordinator.

What I actually do

AWTOMATIG is a small startup, and when I started coordinating, projects ran mostly on word of mouth. One of my first jobs was adding structure: tracked projects, clear ownership, and everyone knowing who is doing what. I coordinate a small team of a UI/UX designer, a remote developer and a data analyst, together with our CEO.

I still build too. I make the technical architecture decisions for company and client web projects: framework, database, and how things scale. I also build features, admin panels and RAG chatbots myself, mostly with Next.js, React, Supabase and PocketBase. I set up analytics and tracking with Google Tag Manager, GA4 and Google Ads.

Then there are the servers. After a security incident exposed gaps in how our infrastructure had been maintained, I took over VPS management, deployments and CI/CD. I taught myself Docker, server hardening and self-hosted n8n because I had to. I now own that part of the company.

I also mentor two interns. One is learning web development. The other works on business growth, and I've helped with optimizing Fiverr and Upwork profiles and writing proposals.

Things I've built on the side

  • Price Scout: searches the web for a product and returns the five cheapest results, with ratings and direct links. It's built on the Serper API.
  • An AI mail agent for job applicants: companies ghosting candidates bothered me, so I built an agent that keeps applicants informed.
  • A floating AI assistant for Chrome: a draggable chat head that summarizes, explains or translates any text you highlight, powered by the Gemini API.
  • A cursor-tracking illusion: a 2D character that seems to follow your cursor in 3D, built with Google Flow, Next.js and Claude Code.
  • Research automation: a workflow that pulls structured data from a search API straight into Google Sheets, so nobody has to browse page by page.

You'll find my code on GitHub.

How I work

I learn things when I need them. I learned DevOps because a server needed fixing, not from a course. I would rather build a tool than do the same task twice. I use AI-assisted development heavily, and I steer it toward results that work in production, not just demos. On a small team you end up doing many jobs, and I like that.

Outside work: I'm curious about everything, I procrastinate until it matters and then focus completely, I have insomnia but love sleeping, and I play a lot of video games.
