I'm Lee, a brand and packaging designer. For years the hardest part of freelancing wasn't revisions or briefs. It was the last 40%: the final payment.
The pattern was always the same. The client approves the work, I send files, and the balance invoice sits in their inbox for weeks. I never had a clean contract, so I never had much to point to.
So I built Leostu, a deliberately small order desk for independent designers:
- Create an order with line items and a deposit (30–60%, or pay in full).
- Leostu generates the contract and the invoice (English or Chinese, 14 currencies).
- The client gets one link and an access code. They read the agreement, sign by hand on their phone with no account, and see exactly how to pay you.
- Invoices show your own bank, WeChat Pay, Alipay, DuitNow or PayNow details and QR codes. Money never passes through Leostu.
- Delivered-but-unpaid work stays on a "who owes you" list, with pre-written reminders ready to copy.
What it doesn't do, on purpose: team accounts, card processing, proposals/CRM, time tracking. The signature is a signing record (name, drawn signature, time, IP, a fingerprint of the contract), not a certified e-signature.
Pricing: free forever for 3 active orders at a time. Pro is $5/month (or $45/year). There are also free contract, invoice and payment-reminder generators with no sign-up: https://leostu.com/tools
I'd really like blunt feedback from other freelancers: what's the one thing that would make you actually switch from a Google Doc + PDF invoice?
