100 Days Of Learning #2022

Hi there, I'm Lauren. I'm a Business Analyst working in tech and my goal for 2022 is to expand my technical skills. I'm interested in learning a lot of different things this year, from leveling up my frontend dev skills, to learning test automation, to editing videos, and more. Really I want to start doing and creating more things, rather than spending all my time scrolling social media or getting stuck in tutorial hell.

Enter my #100DaysOfLearning challenge! I plan to document my experience over the next few months here on Dev.

The goal of this challenge isn't to do something every single day for 100 days. Instead, I want the spirit of this challenge to be learning and practicing new things at least 5/7 days a week, and documenting my progress. I've tried #100daysof____ challenges in the past, and not being flexible with myself ultimately resulted in me giving up on the challenge. (Another thing I'm trying out this year is #flexible goals - more on that in another post).

So here's to learning in 2022! If you're doing your own challenge, I'd love to hear about it in the comments below :-)

Hi. I'm Cate. I'm also planning to start my 2022 with 100daysofcode challenge. I have been learning frontend dev html and css/scss. In my 100 days challenge I want to study vanilla JavaScript build several projects with it, then go ahead and learn Vuejs. I will also be documenting my progress here. This is a goal I'm ready to take and accomplish.

Great to meet you too. Recently I have been going through the W3schools course combined with the Eloquent JavaScript book. In my 100daysofcode I'm also planning to do the freecodecamp Js course and projects. Since I'm new in JS I want some basics before going deep into it and I'm finding these resources as useful.

All the resources you listed are great places to start, and I started with some of those as well. I dove into the freecodecamp JS course, and then I started a course I got on sale on Udemy by Colt Steele. He has a "Javascript Bootcamp" and a "Web Developer Bootcamp" course - I've bought them both, but in hindsight just sticking with one and mastering it would have been just fine. I worked through the first half of the JS bootcamp course and now I'm switching back over to the Web Dev Bootcamp course to get more hands-on projects under my belt, but I'm using the JS course and freecodecamp as a reference to dive deeper on certain topics.

Here are links to the Udemy courses, I always wait until they're on sale and never spend more than $10-$20 on a course:
