#hacktoberfest

This tag is for content related to Hacktoberfest 2020. Open source maintainers can use this tag on posts about their project seeking contributions (we recommend adding #contributorswanted also). Contributors can tag posts documenting their Hacktoberfest journey and progress. **NOTE** please read the rules section for necessary details and updates on participating this year.

Are you looking to contribute to an open source project in this Hacktoberfest πŸ’œ? or want to get started with latest technologies like VueJS & NuxtJS πŸ”₯?

We're developing hoppscotch.io, a web open source API request builder, and would love to count you as a contributor to improve our components & applications πŸ™

Don't forget to star the project.

GitHub logo hoppscotch / hoppscotch

πŸ‘½ A free, fast and beautiful API request builder used by 80k+ developers. https://hoppscotch.io

3.7k+ stars on GitHub β€’ #2 product of the day on Product Hunt β€’ featured in Indie Hackers, Hacker news, Hacker noon, YouTube & open source dev podcast etc

Get started πŸš€

As the project’s size grew quite a bit the past couple of weeks, you might ask yourself, where to get started πŸ€”?

Meet the Technology Stack:

  1. HTML + CSS + JavaScript - for magic ✨
  2. NuxtJS: The Vue.js Framework - for wonder 🌈

For the purpose of this first experience, I have selected the following 5 features which have to be implemented in our "core" functionalities with Nuxt.js (Vue.js).

Check out the issues tab for more πŸ˜‹ or alternatively you can create new features (and prolly PRs πŸ˜‰) or optimize any existing functions/routines.

Cherry on the cake πŸ’πŸŽ‚

Beside unlocking some karma points, you know what would be cool with your contributions πŸ€”? All the improvements you'll submit will not only have effect to the components, but also they'll have an impact on open source dev community & be included in our live platform used by 2k+ users. Kind of cool to know that something you would develop will for sure be available in an online live application! isn’t it?

Hacktoberfest πŸ™

Support open source and earn a limited edition T-shirt! πŸ”₯

Rules:
To qualify for the official limited edition Hacktoberfest shirt, you must register and make four pull requests (PRs) between October 1-31 (in any time zone). PRs can be made to any public repo on GitHub, not only the ones with issues labeled Hacktoberfest. This year, the first 50,000 participants who successfully complete the challenge will earn a T-shirt.

Happy committing ❀️

Wow, I just went through fetcher. That's a cool thing πŸ”₯. Hope you could share your insights and experience on developing it. And hopefully add/port similar features to Postwoman πŸŽ‰

Hoping you would surely contribute to Postwoman πŸ˜„

EDIT 0: Your "Generates Snippets" for

JavaScript Fetch
cURL
HTTP
C#
PowerShell
Java

are lit af πŸ”₯

would you mind adding those to Postwoman as well. We currently have JavaScript, cURL, and Fetch code generation.

Hi friend,

Postwoman is not an API provider. It's a cross-platform, cross-device supported testing tool for API development. It's lightweight, fast and open sourced. It's a progressive web app with tons of features πŸŽ‰
